I joined her with an article about photographing “Hands”: the cutting edge of our mind.
But what about photographing feet?
Feet are an important part of our body. They take us where we want to go.
They do so much for us, they are incredibly complex devices.
Feet may be humble, but they are the most overworked and under-appreciated parts of our body. Think about it: in a single day, the average person takes 8000 to 10000 steps. That works out to be four trips around the world over a lifetime.
We are so used to them that we don't even notice them anymore.
However, feet are a great topic to photograph...
Elmer Batters (1919-1997) is as a pioneer fetish photographer and grand master of leg and foot art. He spent a lifetime looking through a viewfinder at women's legs and feet. His photography was very controversial and his work was only recognized as art after he died.
Wandering through the 1x gallery, I discovered amazing pictures about feet. Some are funny, some cute, some used as a concept, and some even very sensual. Enjoy this compilation of great 1x feet shots.
